Listen to ‘There’s a Northern Sky’

Born in Canada, moved to the US for a few years and now practically a Londoner for the last 15 years, Peter Stewart – the mastermind behind the solo project Louderman – is not new to the music industry and you can definitely tell he knows what is doing when it comes to songwriting.
Beautifully crafted, ‘There’s a northern sky’ follows up previous single ‘Look at me now’ and sets the pace for what to expect from his new album.

Louderman is a fairly new project, started only last summer but Peter has years of experience as an SBK via EMI alumni, with a CBS publishing deal in his CV. Fast forward 15 years and he’s got even more passion about his music and his lyrics and he’s made sure this was clear on this song: “I wrote this song last year and it reflects my anxiety about the rise of nationalisms and extremist ideologies and populism… but from a very personal perspective.. in terms of being able to rise to the challenge when difficult times arrive…”

His music is self produced but Louderman assembled an all star team for it, from the great Cameron Craig of Adele’s 25 fame and 2 Grammys winner and all the strings are from ‘The Night Orchestra’ which, for you who don’t know are the ELO’s string section.

His album ‘How To Travel To Time’ was released last year on vinyl and is available exclusively at Rough Trade in London and NYC. Digital release is due on 20th June.

Louderman is about taking a journey through time – navigating through the songs of one person’s lifetime – a road trip down the sonic highway of hopes and dreams; navigating the geography of disappointments and unseen diversions all set out as an audio map of songs. Through the high altitudes of good decisions – further along down into the valleys of wrong turns and dead ends, you can travel with Louderman from his past to his present and on into the future. There’s room for anyone with ears and a heart – anyone who rejects the circus of division and hatred. Welcome aboard!

He tells us that after 15 years running a transport company for musicians in London he got back to songwriting and over the last 2 years he has written and recorded a ton of material, this only makes us happy as we look forward to hear more music.
